sauna experience & winter swimming

Dip to cold lake Saimaa and go to sauna! Our winter saunas were expanded in October 2025 and are now heated everyday until end of March on public shifts - also available for private bookings.

A beach sauna, an atmospheric barrel sauna and additional swimming stairs and a patio will make winter swimming a pleasure. Sauna area is in our shore, 100m from reception. In the beach sauna building, there is separate dressing rooms and showers for men and women. Very short distance to lake! Saunas are mixed, so swimsuit must be weared.

public SAUNA Hours 2025-2026

On weekdays, the beach sauna is available (10€/person), on weekends and in high season, both saunas* (12€/person).

Sauna hours will be extended in December. The only day that sauna is not available is 25.12., when we are closed. Public sauna available until end of April. During summer 2026 there will also be public saunas weekly and a beach bar open.

* Note: We reserve the right to change sauna hours due to possible private bookings. The barrel sauna can be rented for private use for all days and times. If the barrel sauna is for private use during the stated sauna hours, the price for a single visit is the weekday price.

PRACTICES & INSTRUCTIONS

1. We recommend to warm the body before going to lake: Take a sauna beforehand, take a look of some tips.
2. Winter swimming / dip to lake at your responsibility - note that there is no swimming surveillance. Always go to winter swimming with another person. Start first with the dipping to the lake.
3. Sauna is mixed, so use the swimsuit during sauna. 
4. We recommend to use flipflops / sandals. Winter swimming shoes and gloves sold in reception.
5. Alcohol and winter swimming does not work together, spare the sauna drinks to another time. Strict policy for disturbing behaviour, sauna is common for all.
